BRAD WANDS

Head Coach (16U)

Coach Wands grew up in Satellite Beach, Florida and played four years of varsity baseball at Melbourne Central Catholic High School. He earned First Team All-State honors as a junior and senior, leading his team to the FHSAA State Final Four Tournament. Coach Wands was inducted into the MCC Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.

 

Coach Wands played college baseball at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he set career records in hits and stolen bases. He was named Rookie of the Year, Best Offensive Player, and Best Defensive Player throughout his time at Emory. Coach Wands earned First Team All-Conference honors in 1996, 1997 & 1998, and Second-Team All-Region in 1998. In 2018, the University Athletic Association named Wands to the All-Association 30th Anniversary Baseball Team.

 

Coach Wands served as an assistant coach for the Lima Locos in the Great Lakes Collegiate Summer Wooden Bat League in Lima, Ohio. He also served as an assistant coach at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. Coach Wands is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association.
